“The Science of Aquatic Preserves’ Seagrass” presented by Jonathan Brucker, Environmental Specialist II, St. Martins Marsh and Big Bend Seagrasses Aquatic Preserves.  Jonathan will discuss the seagrass monitoring programs in the aquatic preserves and there importance in keeping an environmental balance for the health of our Gulf Shoreline. He will explain sampling at specific locations, monitoring methodology, data analysis, and ideas for future monitoring

What can baked bits of clay teach us about prehistoric people?
Lis Hylton, Outreach Coordinator UofSF, Florida Public Archaeology Network, and Jamie Letendre, Environmental Specialist at Fl Dept of Environmental Protection, will have a presentation related to archaeology. They will include a hands-on children’s activity as part of it.
